GEORGE ROSE

George Rose lives and works in Melbourne and Basel. After studying at the ANU School of Art and Design in Canberra, she made a name for herself as a muralist. Her large-scale murals explore nature, often focussing on its vulnerability, and scale native plants to monumental formats. In the studio, she experiments with drawing and colour. Rose participates in international mural festivals - her works adorn walls in Australia, the USA, Asia and Europe. She has realised commissions for the Musée Pierre-Noël in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges in France, the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam and for media companies such as Instagram and TikTok. She was awarded the Resene Total Colour Awards 2020 and 2023, among others.
