Fintan Magee

Fintan Magee (born 1985 in Lismore) is a Sydney-based social realist painter known for his large-scale murals. His works can be seen around the world in cities such as London, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Rome, Vienna, Miami, Atlanta, Copenhagen, Moscow and Dublin. Inspired by the political murals in Northern Ireland, his father's homeland, Magee integrates journalistic elements into his public art. Thematically, he focusses on diversity, migration, consumption and environmental issues. In recent years, he has realised numerous projects, including a work in a Jordanian refugee camp, as well as several central works for the Paradox: Tauranga Street Art Festival in New Zealand and the Mathgoth Gallery in Paris.
