FIKOS

FIKOS (born in Athens) is a painter and muralist. At the age of 13, he began studying Byzantine painting at the Eikonourgia School in Athens. He combines his traditional style with contemporary themes such as gender fluidity and digital art techniques. He is considered a pioneer of "contemporary Byzantine painting", a style that is now used by many artists worldwide. FIKOS has exhibited his works at the Benaki Museum in Athens, the Archaeological Museum of Milos, the Fondation FIMINCO in Paris and the Larnaka Biennale in Cyprus, among others. He has created numerous murals around the world, including the largest mural in the history of Greek-Byzantine art. He has also completed commissions for the city of Versailles and the ETH Zurich.
